Meining Wu | 2nd Prize | Piano | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Meining Wu is a 12-year-old pianist and a 6th grader, living in San Jose, California, USA. Meining started her first piano lesson at age of six, she is currently studying with American Pianist and Steinway Artist Professor Hans Boepple. She has won top prizes at numerous piano competitions, including, 1st Alternate in 2021 MTAC PCS Northern Regional Competition Solo, 3rd Place in 2021 Young Euregio Piano Award, 1st Places of "Young Artist Award" in 2020 United States International Music Competition, 2020 US New Star Competition by Asian Composer, 2020 KAMSA Competition, and 2020 Music Legacy Open Competition; 2nd Places in 2020 ENKOR International Music Competition, and 2020 Marian Filice Youth Piano Competition; Honorable Mention in 2020 Steinway Virtual Piano Competition US and Canada, and Finalist in 2020 Pacific Musical Society & Foundation Annual Competition. In 2019, she won 1st Place in US Open Music Competition and US New Star Piano Competition, the Grand Prize in 2019 Annual Talented Young Musician Olympia Competition, and performed at Carnegie Weill Recital Hall. Besides piano, Meining also loves art, her artwork have won the top prizes in state and nation wide art contests. Her other hobbies are horseback riding and swimming.
