Yejin Song | 2nd Prize | Piano | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


 Yejin Song, 16, is an eleventh grader at The Harker School in San Jose, California. She currently studies piano with Professor Hans Boepple. Yejin won first places at the MTAC State Piano Solo Competition, International Grande Music Competition, Celia Mendez Young Pianists Beethoven Competition, United States International Music Competition, Crescendo International Music Competition, AFAF Golden Era Competition, KAMSA competition, and GLORY International Music Competition. She was awarded second prize and Best Performance of a Sonata in the Marilyn Mindell Piano Competition, and she placed second in the SF Chopin, ENKOR International, and CAPMT Concerto and Honors competitions. Yejin won other top prizes at the MTNA competition, Walgreens National Concerto Competition, Henry and Carol Zeiter Competition, and Pacific Musical Society Competition. Yejin has attended the John Perry Academy of Music, Southeastern Piano Festival, and Music Fest Perugia in Italy, where she was invited to perform with the resident Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini Orchestra. Yejin also enjoys playing chamber music, and her piano trio has won first places at USOMC and the MTAC VOCE competition. Aside from piano, she participates in her school’s student council and is a San Francisco Giants fan.
