Liam Alexander (USA/Romania) is an 8-year-old violin student of Prof. Magdalena Ursu, violin professor at the ”Dinu Lipatti” National Arts High School in Bucharest, Romania. He attends the St. Paul School in Macomb, Illinois. 

In 2022, Liam won the first prize at the Charleston International Music Competition (winter edition). He  was the third prize winner of the 2022 American Music Talent Competition, in Washington D.C. In December 2021, Liam won the first prize and the prize for the best interpretation of a Romanian work offered by the Foundation “Remember Enescu” at the Competition “Paul Constantinescu” in Romania. In November 2021, he won the third prize at the International Competition “Remember Enescu”. In October 2021, Liam won the first prize at the Music Box International Online Contest, UK. In March 2021, Liam was awarded the first prize at the “George Manoliu” Competition, Romania. He won the first prize at “The Violin Doc” International Online Festival in December 2020. In November 2020, Liam won the third prize and the special prize for the youngest violinist of the competition at the Prestissimo International Violin Online Competition, Timisoara. In May 2020, he participated at the International Festival Rezonanțe Muzicale, where he won the Special Prize for Virtuosity.
