Shandra Qian Qiu, 10, is a fourth grader in Cactus Ranch Elementary School, Round Rock, Texas. Shandra started showing a great interest in playing a mini banjo thing that was bought in Mexico as a souvenir in summer of 2019. She actually managed to play a simple piece on it, and that was when she began her violin journey with Dr. Chu, of course with a real 1/8 violin.

During the three years of Shandra’s violin “career”, she received the First Class Honor for Level 6 Violin by the Royal Conservatory (RCM) in 2021, and she was the concert master in Austin Camerata Youth Orchestra for the school year of 2021-2022. Although Shandra has won a few rewards and prizes in piano, the ENKOR is going to be her first violin competition.

Besides playing violin, in her spare time Shandra likes reading, playing table tennis, and watching YouTube videos, no need to mention, big fan of TwoSet Violin.
