Born in Zhejiang, China, Yang Wang began her piano study at the age of six as a pupil of Steinway artist Jie Zheng. She joined the class of Prof. Jin Tang at the Attached Middle School of SHCM 2013. From 2019 to 2021, she studied with Professor Moye Chen, SHCM. Since 2021, she has been studying with Prof. Hong Huang at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Prof. Vincenzo Balzani.

Yang is a very experienced piano soloist. She has performed in different venues such as Jiaxing South Lake Concert Hall, Taizhou Culture centre Concert Hall, Ningbo Concert Hall, Hangzhou Grand Theatre Concert Hall, Poly Grand Theatre and the Hall of Thames Town Shanghai as well as the Carnegie Hall New York, Concert Hall of Freiburg Conservatory of Music Germany and Concert Hall of Aarhus Conservatory of Music Denmark.
She has cooperated with such famous musicians like Uwe Komischke, professor of Liszt Conservatory Weimar, former trumpet principal of Munich Philharmonic orchestra in the Celi era and Yun Tang, famous violinist living in America.
She has played a series of recitals and chamber concerts successfully. While she participated in many important performances of the conservatory, she has been praised by all parties. She also participated in the performances of a celebration series of Shanghai Conservatory of Music for four consecutive years as representative of outstanding students. And she performed frequently in the En-Teh New Scholarship winners concerts as she has won this scholarship for four years continually. She is also receiver of the People’s Scholarship during the undergraduate years.
