Nathan Y. Choe serves as the principal cellist in the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra and is an accomplished YouTube content creator. He is a student of Adam Liu, assistant principal cellist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Nathan has won first place in the 2021 Elite International Music Competition and first place in the 2020 Crescendo International Music Competition. As the winner of Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Concerto Competition for the 2020-2021 season, Nathan had the honor to play a solo at Heinz Hall. He is also a winner of the Montgomery Fellowship and performs for the community with the Montgomery Fellowship String Quartet. Nathan began his cello studies at the age of seven and served as principal cellist for the Symphonette of TRYPO before joining PYSO. When Nathan is not playing cello, he enjoys practicing Taekwondo and making short animation films and videos for his 1.9 million subscriber YouTube channel.
