Brock Jones is high school junior at Valley Christian High School in San Jose, California. He began playing the flute at age 9 and has been studying under Teresa Orozco the last six years. Brock is a member of his school’s honor wind ensemble where he plays the flute and piccolo, is a member of his school’s competitive marching band and was recently a member of the pit for his school’s performance of Bye Bye Birdie. Brock has completed all levels of MTAC Certificate of Merit and was selected to participate in MTAC’s Branch and Conventions recitals the prior five years. More recently, Brock was been selected as a finalist for the Junior Bach festival as well as a finalist in the VOCE ensemble competition. In addition to playing the flute, Brock plays the guitar and sings. In his spare time Brock enjoys drawing and playing video games.
