Ziyue Zeng, 17, lives in Aptos, CA. She began to play piano at 6 and is currently studying with Dr. Chia-Lin Yang. A five-times recipient of Santa Cruz Symphony Mueller Scholarship 2019-2023, she has won top prizes in many competitions, including: KAMSA, Burlingame Music Club Piano Competition, France Music Competition of les Musicales du Centre, Silicon Valley Music Competition, Cesar Franck International Piano Competition, Costa Rica Piano Competition & Festival, Bellagrande International Music Competition, USIMC, Pacific International Piano Competition and Celia Mendez Young Pianists’ Beethoven Competition. She has performed as a soloist with Santa Cruz County Youth Symphony in 2022 and will perform with GSYO Senior Symphony in 2023. A performer at Junior Bach Festival 2019-2023, she has played in masterclasses with Hans Boepple, Jeff LaDeur, John Blacklow, Ronald Brautigam, Sonia Leong, Vladimir Khomyakov, and Anna Dmytrenko. She has performed at San Francisco International Piano Festival in 2022, Annual Sparkling Musicale Concert hosted by American Beethoven Society in 2022, and gave a recital as part of the Aptos Keyboard Series in 2023. She attended BUTI Young Artists Piano Program in summer 2022 and will be attending the Southeastern Piano Festival, PianoTexas and Music@Menlo in summer 2023. She has been a member of Young Chamber Musicians in Burlingame from 2021-2023 and will be joining California Music Preparatory Academy in Fall 2023. In addition to music, she is also passionate in art and philosophy.
