Yutae(Albert) Jung is a Senior at Palo Alto Senior High School and studies with Eric Sung at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Division.
He has been a cellist in the California Youth Symphony since 2018, where he has led as the assistant principal cello twice and has been elected as the section leader of the CYS Musician's Council in 2021.
He has been invited to other orchestras such as the 2020 California All-State Jr Orchestra, 2020 CMEA Bay Section Honor Orchestra, 2020/2021/2022/2023, KAMSA YSO and 2021/2022/2023 Hop3Box YSO.
Albert was a prizewinner at the 2023, 2022, 2020 KAMSA competition, 2022, 2021(1st), 2020 Silicon Valley Youth Music Competition, 2023, 2021, 2020 Junior Bach Festival, 2022 US Open Music Competition Instrumental Solo Division, 2022 Great Composers international Competition, and 2023 Charleston International Music Competition.
As a chamber musician, his trio was a prizewinner at the 2021 Great Composers Competition, 2022 ENKOR International Music Competition, and the 2021 USIMC Finalist.
He also participated a Master Class with cellist Amit Peled at SFCM in March 2022 and Europe Summer Music Tour CYS Senior Symphonic Orchestra in 2022
