Annette Lin is a classical pianist born and raised in Arcadia, California. She started piano lessons at the age of five and has since received honors from organizations like the Los Angeles International Liszt Competition and the Southern California Junior Bach Festival, as well as the Music Teachers’ Association of California, under which she is a member of the Young Artist’s Guild. Annette is a student of Jenny Shin and a participant at the Chamber Music Institute under the Colburn School, where she has previously studied with Jeff Lavner. A rising senior at Arcadia High School, she serves as the president of a creative writing club, as well as the sole editor of its literary magazine. Outside the academic realm, Annette writes poetry, collects dictionaries, and takes advantage of the student discounts offered at her local symphony orchestra.
