Henry Courtney | 3rd Prize | Piano | 11th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Henry Courtney is a sophomore at the Orange County School of the Arts. He began playing the piano at age 4 and is currently studying with Craig Richey. His previous teachers were Margery Burger and Aleli Tibay. He is a Panel Honors winner of the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC). He has garnered top prizes in the Southern California Junior Bach Festival (SCJBF) Regional Competition and Complete Works Audition, the California Association of Professional Music Teachers (CAPMT) Honors Competition and Contemporary Competition, the International Association of Professional Music Teachers (IAPMT) Concours International, and the Concordia Music Competition.

Henry is also a classical voice singer. He began singing when he was 7 years old with the All-American Boys Chorus. He has appeared in productions with the LA Opera and the Parnassus Society. This summer, he will participate in the music festival La Musica Lirica in Novafeltria, Italy.
