Katheryn (Katie) Chan, 13 years old, is a passionate young pianist from Chandler, Arizona. She started playing the piano at the age of four with Ms. Hong Zhu. She was the Arizona state winner for 2023 Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Competition, as well as a semifinalist at 2024 Kaufman International Youth Piano Competition. She was also the 1st place winner in many other competitions, including Steinway/Avanti Piano Competition, United States International Music Competition, Galaxie Y. International Competition, Arizona Young Artists Competition, and Young Musicians Concerto Competition organized by Phoenix Youth Symphony Orchestras. Katie enjoys competitive speech and debate and science research. In her spare time, she also loves reading, tennis, and skiing.
