Seojin Ha | 3rd Prize | Winds & Percussion | 11th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Seojin Ha is a 16-year-old junior at Sunset High School in Portland, Oregon. He is the current Principal of Percussion of the Portland Youth Philharmonic. This is his sixth year as a percussionist, studying under Stephen Kehner.

He has performed for multiple organizations such as his high school's marching band, his school district's honor band, NAfME All-Northwest, Oregon All-State Orchestra as principal, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute Summer Camp. He has won numerous awards: winning second place in orchestral snare, rudimental snare, and mallets at the district-level, qualifying him to the state-level competition and taking fourth place for mallet and third place for orchestral snare.

Seojin also is the founder of Sounds of Giving and Melodies of McKinney-Vento Pogram, nonprofit organizations dedicated to bettering the community through music.
