Zizhou He | 1st Prize | Winds & Percussion | 11th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


He is currently pursuing a master's degree at Shanghai Conservatory of Music and is studying under Professor Luo Tianqi, majoring in Chinese percussion music. He studied Chinese percussion in the Department of Modern Instrumental Music and Percussion at Shanghai Conservatory of Music for both his undergraduate and master's degrees.

During his school years, he served as the chief voice of the orchestra and participated in several events including the IPEA International Percussion Competition, the Shanghai Spring series, the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Percussion Orchestra, the National Orchestra, important performances of the orchestra, and major performance events both on and off campus: the Fang Qiong National Art Fund project ""Chang Chang Zhi""; Go to Nantong, Yan'an and other places for the ""Long March Song Group"" tour; Shanghai Conservatory of Music 95th Anniversary Concert, etc. Received multiple on campus scholarships; Outstanding undergraduate graduate from Shanghai Conservatory of Music. As a resident composer and performer of the "Shangyin" Chamber Orchestra, he premiered his percussion work "Pin" at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music Opera House under the ""Sound Talent Helps Fly"" project. He participated in the second "Guoyun Cup" National Instrumental Music Art Exhibition Competition and won titles such as "Star of Folk Music" and "Star of the Future" (gold and silver awards) for ethnic percussion music. In the 2024 IPEA National Percussion Competition, he won second place in Group A. He won first place in the 11 music academy categories of the advanced percussion program at the 5th Singapore Nanyang International Music Competition.
