Claire is a 14-year-old violinist who has been studying with Elizabeth Chang at the Juilliard School, Pre-College division since 2022. Starting her musical journey at the age of 5, Claire actively pursued her passion for the violin, showcasing her soloist skills in various competitions. She won numerous competition awards, including the Grand Prize in the International Young Artists Competition, 1st Prizes at the Vivo International Music Competition multiple years, IMO New York Solo Competition, and New York Artists International Competition. Claire has performed in prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center for the winners’ concerts.
Claire has been selected for a masterclass with Kelly Hall-Tompkins at the Sylvia and Jacob Handler Master Class Series. She spent her summers at the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival in 2024 and the Heifetz International Music Institute Summer Program with a merit award in 2023. She served as a principal of the Pre-College String Orchestra at Juilliard in 2024. Currently, she is the concertmaster of the Demarest Middle School orchestra.
Beyond solo performances, Claire cherishes participating in chamber music. Her chamber music journey includes the JCC Thurnauer School of Music Chamber (2021-2022), active participation in the Heifetz Chamber in Summer 2023, and the Juilliard Pre-College Chamber Music since 2022.
Outside of her music, Claire enjoys a variety of activities such as crocheting, reading, traveling, swimming, skiing, and playing chess.
