Eugene Baker | 3rd prize | Piano | 12th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


 Eugene Baker has pursued piano studies since the age of six, refining his technique under the mentorship of Tommaso Cogato since 2020. His exceptional dedication has led him to achieve accolades in numerous competitions, including third prize at the 2024 San Francisco International Piano Competition and multiple scholarships for excellence in music performance. His playing has been described as 'Powerful, majestic, beautiful.' Simultaneously, Eugene has pursued violin studies since the age of eight, and studied under the guidance of Mariarosaria D’Aprile since 2022. He has performed in numerous orchestras and ensembles, including two seasons with California All-State Orchestras, one season with the Valley Dance Theatre Pit Orchestra, and four seasons with the Livermore-Amador Symphony Youth Orchestra. Eugene has served as both Concertmaster and Pianist for his Middle School Advanced Orchestra. As a volunteer musician, he performs piano and violin at the local community nursing home. In his free time, Eugene enjoys photography and simulated racing.
