ZEBRAS Quartet | THIRD PRIZE | Chamber Music | 12th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

The Zebras String Quartet is a group of four friends who share a deep love of classical music. Formed in 2025, the ensemble has performed extensively throughout the Bay Area, driven by a mission to bring high-quality live music to communities that may not often have the opportunity to experience it. The quartet is comprised of violinists Sean Wang and Ryan Wang, violist Zachary Koh, and cellist Brock Bakan. All four musicians are active performers with some of the Bay Area's most respected youth orchestras, and their collective training informs the quartet's musicality, cohesion, and expressive depth. Individually, the members have earned top prizes in multiple competitions and have participated in distinguished music festivals across the United States and in France. The Zebras are coached by acclaimed violinist David Chernyavsky, cellist Vicky Wang, and violist Mark Fish, whose mentorship continues to shape the group's developing artistry and collaborative spirit.
