Abby Nossaman | Second Prize | Piano | 13th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

Abigail Nossaman, fifteen, is a promising young pianist from Northern Virginia, bringing a thoughtful and intuitive approach to a wide repertoire shaped by expressivity and narrative depth.

A student of Anna Ouspenskaya at the Hunter Mill Music Studio since the age of six, Abby is currently a ninth grader at The Madeira School in McLean, Virginia. She has been a finalist in the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association Concerto Competition for four consecutive years and was a prizewinner in the International Great Composers Competition, placing in the Best Bach Performance category.

Drawn to pieces full of character and emotional depth, Abby is especially interested in how music creates mood and tells a story—an instinct that has been evident on the stage of Carnegie Hall. She has performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall twice: first in 2025 as a Laureate of the Sound Espressivo Gala, where she performed a Chopin Étude and was featured in an Artist Spotlight interview with veteran radio producer Steve Robinson; and again in April 2026 as a featured solo pianist in the Sound Espressivo Gala Concert.

Beyond the piano, her curiosity extends to tennis, softball, theater, photography, karate, robotics, Latin, and a passion for birds and the natural world.
