Arden Quan | Second Prize | Piano | 13th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

Arden Quan, 15, currently attends Phillips Academy Andover and the New England Conservatory Preparatory School. He has been playing piano for 10 years and studies with Natalia Harlap. Previously, he studied with Jasmine Steadman and Crystal Lee while living in Colorado. He has participated in masterclasses with Wha Kyung Byun, Pavel Nersessian, and Dmitri Shteinberg, among others.

Since beginning his private piano studies at the age of five, Arden has distinguished himself in numerous prestigious competitions. His recent accolades include the Gold Medal at the Steinway Society of Massachusetts Competition, First Place in the MMTA Bay State Competitions, and Second Place in both the NEPTA Mildred Freiberg Competition and the NEC Prep Concerto Competition.

Beyond his competitive success, Arden possesses a deep-seated passion for collaborative music. His early experiences performing concertos with a local orchestra in Colorado ignited a love for sharing music. He has continued to cultivate this spirit through chamber music at the Rivers School Conservatory and by frequently performing recitals at local senior centers.

When not at the piano, Arden enjoys being active, spending time skiing and cycling. He was thrilled to join the varsity cycling team this spring at Phillips Academy Andover.
