Korean violinist Chaewon Chang is an emerging artist distinguished by her richly expressive musicality and a compelling artistic voice uniquely her own. Raised in Korea, she garnered recognition early on, earning top prizes in numerous competitions and building a reputation as a performer of sensitivity, depth, and technical refinement. Her artistry has continued to flourish through a wide range of performances, where she consistently captivates audiences with her nuanced interpretations and confident stage presence.
An avid chamber musician, Chang has been praised for her exceptional leadership, insightful collaborative instincts, and the vibrant musical dialogue she brings to ensemble playing. She continues to pursue artistic growth and authenticity by sharing a broad spectrum of musical experiences with audiences, approaching each performance with sincerity, imagination, and an ever-evolving palette of sound. Chang has attended the Aspen Music Festival (full scholarship), the Heifetz Music Institute, and the New York String Orchestra Seminar, among others, further expanding her musical development.
Chaewon Chang is currently pursuing her studies at The Juilliard School, where she works under the guidance of Frank Huang and Donald Weilerstein.
