Euna Jung, a 13-year-old violinist from San Jose, California, is an exceptional young musician currently in the 7th grade at Valley Christian Junior High School. Euna’s musical journey is deeply rooted in her family; she was inspired to take up the violin by her two older brothers, whose playing and passion for the instrument served as a constant influence during her early childhood.
Euna’s dedication has earned her top honors on both national and international competitive stages. In early 2026, she was named the First Place Winner in the Violin Division (ages 13–18) of the prestigious American Protégé International Concerto Competition. Her remarkable momentum continued through the spring of 2026, where she secured First Place at the San Francisco International Innovative Music Competition and First Place at the Charleston International Music Competition (Winter).
Looking ahead to the 2026–2027 season, Euna has been accepted into several highly selective musical institutions. Beginning in August 2026, she will attend the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) Pre-College Division to continue her formal conservatory training. Additionally, she has been accepted into the Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra (PACO) Sinfonia and selected as a member of the 36th KAMSA Youth Symphony Orchestra.
These upcoming appointments build upon a strong foundation of local ensemble experience. Euna currently performs with the String2 Orchestra at Valley Christian and was selected for the Valley Christian Junior High Chamber Ensemble in 2025. She also previously performed as a member of the California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (CPYO). Seeking to continually refine her artistry, Euna had the privilege of receiving private lessons from faculty at The Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music in January 2026.
Beyond her primary focus on the violin, Euna is a versatile artist who enjoys studying vocal performance and K-pop dance, which enhances her rhythmic agility and expressive stage presence. Off-stage, she is an avid reader and an accomplished writer whose poetry has been recognized and accepted for publication. Euna brings a disciplined work ethic, artistic maturity, and a deep passion for collaborative performance to all of her musical endeavors.
