Kaifeng Zhong studies piano with Mrs. Svitlana Fiorito in Connecticut. Over the years, he has received numerous awards in piano competitions.
In 2024, Kaifeng earned First Place in the Audrey Thayer Piano Competition and Second Place in the Schubert Club’s Romantic Junior category. That same year, he was awarded Best Performance of the Commissioned Work and Third Prize at the Renee B. Fisher Piano Competition.
In 2025, he won First Prize in the Schubert Club’s Junior Level in both the Classical and Romantic categories, Second Prize in the Renee B. Fisher Piano Competition, and a Gold Medal in the national round of the Professional Artist Category organized by the International Piano Professionals Association.
Most recently, Kaifeng received First Prize in the 2026 Audrey Thayer Piano Competition. In addition to piano, he plays the violin in his school orchestra and enjoys math, coding, and tennis.
