Raymond Jiang | Second Prize | Piano | 13th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 



Raymond Jiang, age 12, began his piano studies at the age of five. He is enrolled in the Pre-College Division at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as a student of John McCarthy, with Huajun Zhang as his secondary teacher. He has also studied with distinguished pianist-pedagogues Jerome Lowenthal, Orli Shaham, Meng-Chieh Liu, Victor Rosenbaum, Melinda Lee Masur, Jeffrey Swann, Pavlina Dokovska, and Vladimir Valjarević.

Raymond has received many top awards as a pianist, including prizes in the Pacific Musical Society Competition, Chicago International Music Competition, United States Open Music Competition, and the United States International Music Competition. In addition to the piano, he plays the violin, French horn, organ, saxophone, and guitar.

Enrolled at The Harker School, one of the top college preparatory schools in the United States, he has wide-ranging interests, including traveling, learning about other cultures, nature, food, and meeting new people. Raymond currently speaks English, Chinese, Spanish, and Japanese.
