Shua Cheon, born in 2011, plays the piano and has been inspired by other pianists from a very young age. Curious about how to create beautiful sound, she has studied with several teachers over the past seven years, and currently studies with Chia-Lin Yang.
In her piano career, Shua placed third in the ENKOR International Music Competition in 2024. In 2025, she placed second in the ENKOR competition and received an honorable mention in the United States International Music Competition (USIMC) and the Marilyn Mindell Piano Competition. She also attended the Cal Prep chamber music program to gain experience performing with other musicians her age.
In addition to piano, Shua has been playing the violin for around six years and was a member of the Associate Orchestra (AO) of the California Youth Symphony (CYS) in 2025–2026. She enjoys expressing a wide range of emotions through the piano and looks forward to continuing her musical journey.
