Steve Jicheng Jiang, 9 years old, is a fourth-grade student. He began studying piano under Dr. Louise Jiayin Liu at the age of five, and within a few years, his talent and dedication have earned him recognition in numerous competitions.
In 2025, Steve was a finalist in both the 32nd International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in Szafarnia, Poland, and the Nashville International Chopin Piano Competition. That same year, he won first place in the OPUS Music Competition (State Level) and the OPUS National Music Competition, and earned a bronze medal at the 2025 International Keyboard Odyssiad® Competition & Festival. He was also awarded the Gold Medal and the Outstanding Waltz Award at the Fourteenth International Chopin Youth Competition in Houston, as well as first place in the 45th Annual Fall Piano Contest at the University of Texas at Arlington.
In 2024, Steve was invited to perform solo at Carnegie Hall in New York and at the Gläserner Saal of the Musikverein in Vienna, Austria. That year, he won first place in the International Music Competition Vienna Grand Prize Virtuoso and received the Exceptional Young Talent Special Prize. He also placed second in both the Solo and Concerto Categories of the Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition. In addition, Steve has participated in the Dallas Symphonic Festival Competition for three years with top awards. Earlier in his career, he won first place in the Elite International Music Competition in 2023.
Beyond music, Steve has a deep passion for soccer and tennis, which he enjoys in his free time.
