Fifteen-year-old high school student Wayne Wang is an accomplished violinist and pianist whose musical journey began at age six on the piano, deeply inspired by his mother’s love for classical music. Turning his passion to the violin at age seven, Wayne studied under the guidance of Dr. Amanda Yang from an early age and later joined the studio of Ms. Joan Kwuon at the Colburn School in 2023. Wayne’s dedication and technical precision have earned him numerous competitive accolades, notably finishing as a 2nd place 2026 VOCE State Finalist, securing 2nd place in the MACOC competition, and winning top prizes in multiple solo and chamber music divisions. Also an experienced orchestral leader, Wayne previously served as the Assistant Concertmaster of the Colburn Sinfonietta Orchestra and is currently a member of the prestigious Colburn Youth Orchestra.
