Yolanda Wan | Second Prize | Piano | 13th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 



Yolanda Wan is a nine-year-old Australian pianist from Perth, Western Australia. She is a Year 4 student at Hollywood Primary School. She began her piano studies at the age of four and has since developed a deep and lasting passion for music.

Yolanda has consistently earned top accolades and distinguished herself in numerous state and international piano competitions, performing repertoire spanning Baroque and Classical sonatas, contemporary works, duets, and solo recitals. Her distinguished results include multiple first-place awards at esteemed events such as the Rising Talents of the World International Music Competition, Euro Open Music Competition, Western Australian Pianists Competition, Bunbury Eisteddfod, Fremantle Eisteddfod, South Suburban Music Eisteddfod, Crescendo Music Competition, and the World Open Music Competition, where she was also named Grande Performer and Absolute Winner. She has additionally achieved top placements at the OZ Schools Instrumental Championships and the ENKOR International Piano Competition.

Other Interests & Future Aspirations

Beyond the piano, Yolanda enjoys playing the flute. She believes that studying multiple instruments enriches her overall musicianship and deepens her understanding of melody, phrasing, and ensemble performance.

A creative young artist, Yolanda also loves reading, drawing, and the visual arts. She views these interests as complementary to her musicianship, enriching her capacity for expression and narrative interpretation. Looking ahead, she is eager to share her love of music with wider audiences and embraces every opportunity to learn, perform, and grow as a musician.
