Jackie Wong was born in Melbourne, Australia in 2001. She is thirteen years old and she is currently studying at Melbourne Girls Grammar School.

Jackie began her musical training at the age of five, learning the piano at school, and six months later she began studying the violin with an inspirational teacher, Helge Thelen. Five years later, she continued her violin studies with Elizabeth Sellars. Since 2012, Jackie has been taking lessons from Ivana Tomášková.

Jackie regularly performs at concerts, festivals and eisteddfods. Apart from solo performances, she also played as orchestra member at Melbourne Youth Music (Summer School) and has participated in chamber music group.

In 2012, Jackie recorded her entry to the 47th International Radio Competition for Young Musicians “Concertino Praga 2013”, at the Iwaki Auditorium in Melbourne. ABC classic FM producers and engineers supervised her recording to meet the strict competition rules. The ABC radio station director for Melbourne, Victoria certified it. Jackie received a special prize from the international jury panel for the “youngest candidate” and a separate web-page presentation on the Concertino Praga 2013 website.

In 2014, Jackie is the First Place Winner (Junior Category) of the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition 2014. She performed at the Winners’ Recital on Sunday, April 20th 2014 at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
