Third Prize Winner
Jihyang (Jane) is presently a Grade 10 student at Gladstone High School, and has studied with Dr. Kyung Kim of Brandon University’s School of Music for the past two years. She has been a consistent top prize winner in both the Gladstone and Brandon Music Festivals, placing first in numerous categories, and was awarded the H.E. Phipps Trophy (top Grade 9 pianist) at the Brandon Festival of the Arts this year. She also placed first in the Intermediate Canadian Composers class at the 2013 Manitoba Provincial Music and Speech Arts festival.
She has performed actively throughout Southwestern Manitoba, and performed at both the 2013 and 2014 “Rising Stars” concert as part of Mayfest in Neepawa, MB. Jane also serves as choir accompanist at Knox Presbyterian Chruch in Neepawa, MB
