Emily Kim: 3rd Prize, Piano, Cat.C | 2015


Emily has won many competitions, including the Southern California Mozart Youth Festival, Southwestern Youth Music Festival (SYMF), CAPMT Piano Competition, MTAC-LA Concerto Competition and numerous MTAC competitions.

The past summer, she has attended the John Perry Academy of Music (SCMI) 2014 where she performed for John Perry and Mina Perry at a master class, and was selected to perform at its final concert. She has also played for Kevin Fitz-Gerald, a professor of USC Thornton School of Music, in a master class.

Emily is also a prizewinner of the AADGT International Young Gifted Musicians Festival and American Protégé International Competition was selected to perform in Carnegie Hall.

Emily is also a piano volunteer at AMASE (The Academy of Music and Art for Special Education), and has been consistently volunteering for 3 years so far. Besides the piano, Emily’s other passion is the visual arts
