Kimberly Han, 16-year-old pianist and violinist, is from Lake Forest, Illinois of USA. She’s a 2016-2018 Lang Lang Young Scholar, and a two-year (2016-2018) full scholarship recipient of US Chopin Foundation. She started piano at 5, and is currently studying with Alexander Korsantia from New England Conservatory.

A junior of Lake Forest High School, Kimberly is a frequent award-winner – Winner of 2018 Fox Valley Orchestra Concerto Competition, 2nd place winner of 2017 EDR Concerto Competition, National 3rd place/East Central Division/IL State winner of 2017 & 2016 MTNA Performance Competition, Overall & Piano winner of 2017 Walgreens National Concerto Competition, Winner of 2015 Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) Young Artists Concerto Competition, etc.

Kimberly had her concert debut with the Oistrach Symphony Orchestra performing Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in G minor in 2014. Over the past years, Kimberly has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lake Forest Symphony, Midwest Young Artists (MYAC) Symphony Orchestra, Kankakee Valley Symphony Orchestra, Fox Valley Orchestra, MostArts Festival Symphony Orchestra, Napolinova Youth Orchestra (Italy), Highland Park Strings, etc. She has performed at L’Auditori of Barcelona, Spain, Carnegie Hall (Stern Auditorium/Perleman Stage, and Weill Recital Hall), Orchestra Hall of Chicago Symphony Center, Preston Bradley Hall of Chicago Cultural Center, DePaul Concert Hall, Bennett-Gordon Hall of Ravinia Festival, Pick-Staiger Concert Hall of Northwestern University, the Oxford Piano Festival, the Gilmore Keyboard Festival, PianoTexas Festival, and PianoSummer at New Paltz, etc . Kimberly was featured four times on WFMT 98.7FM “Introductions” and once on NPR’s “From the Top”.
