Riley Kong, 13, started learning piano at the age of 5. Over the years he won 1st, 2nd, 3rd places in various categories in USOMC, best Chinese performance in USIMC. CAPMT state final 2nd place in Contemporary; 1st alternate in Honors competition, 3rd place Concerto in Northern California; 2nd place in Chopin SF Competition for the young pianist; Honorable Mention in MTAC Nothern California Solo competition. First prize in Concert Artists International Virtuoso Competition II to perform at Carnegie Hall; 2nd place in Thera Rabinowitch Competition. 1st, 2nd, 3rd prize in many categories in Global Great Composers Competition; 3rd prize in Enkor intl music competition. In 2018 Riley performed in Junior Bach Festival and at Carnegie Hall as 1st place winner of Elite International Music Competition.
When not playing piano, Riley loves reading and competing in math. He is also the school science bowl team captain, USACO gold contender, and National Geography Bee state finalist.
