Cellist Tiffanie Huang is passionate about performing for social causes and has participated in competitions, including winning prizes in the KAMSA, American Protégé, Bay Area Association Music Legacy Open, MTAC VOCE Solo, and MTAC VOCE Ensemble competitions.
In addition to playing the cello, Tiffanie is also an accomplished pianist and has won prizes in competitions such as the American Protégé, American Fine Arts Festival, U.S. Open Music, ENKOR, MTAC Rabinowitch, Steinway Avanti Future Stars, Great Composers Series, and ASMTA piano competitions.
Tiffanie has made multiple solo appearances at Carnegie Hall performing on both cello and piano and has also been invited to perform on both instruments at the Junior Bach Festival. Tiffanie currently studies the cello with Jonathan Koh and is a chamber music student at the California Music Preparatory. Her interests outside of music include writing, reading, and painting. Tiffanie received a 2017 Scholastic Silver National Medal for her recent work.
