Crystal Cheng | 3rd Prize | Piano | 6th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Crystal Cheng, age 13, is currently a student of John McCarthy. Crystal has performed in New York's Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall and in Taiwan and special concert in SFCM. She was selected to perform at 2019 Junior Bach Festival. She has received numerous awards as a pianist, including first prize in the 2016 Taiwan Piano Competition and top prizes in Pacific Music Society, the American Protégé International Piano Competition, US Open Music Competition, CAPMT Honors Competition, and the Thera Rabinowitch Piano Competition. She is also invited to 2019 Waring international piano competition. Crystal enjoys reading, writing, and playing cello in the advanced orchestra at her school. She attended John Perry Academy 2018 Summer Piano Festival received master classes and lessons from John Perry, Mina Perry, Andrew Park, Sasha Starcevich, Dmitry Rachmanov, and Jean-David Coen. She is a 7th grader at Kennedy Middle School in Cupertino and a scholarship pre-college student in San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
