Adrian Pu | 3rd Prize | Piano | 6th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Adrian Pu is a 15 year old ninth grader at Harper Junior High in Davis, California. He started playing piano at 5 years old with Huei Ping Chen Lin and currently studies with Dr. Natsuki Fukasawa. As a concerto competition winner, he has performed with the American River College Orchestra and the Merced Symphony. He participated in the 2018 Orfeo Music Festival in Vipiteno, Italy and won the first prize in their International Music Competition. He has also participated and won top prizes in numerous competitions such as the Best Mozart Performance from the Great Composers Competition, the Music of Europe competition from the Great Composers Competition, US New Star Piano Competition, US New Star Etude Competition, US Open Music Competition, California Association of Professional Music Teachers’ Contemporary Music Competition, Festival of New American Music Young Artists Competition and more. He has performed at Carnegie Hall for receiving a top prize in the American Protege Competition of Romantic Music. He was also a gold medalist at the California Music Educators Association’s State Music Festival. He also has been playing the violin for 6 years and currently studies with Ms. Kineko Okumura. He is also a frequent chamber musician and is a regular member of the winter and summer chamber music programs under the instruction of Ms. Susan Lamb Cook. Outside of music Adrian is interested in sports, technology, science and being with his friends and family.
