Caroline Gong | 3rd Prize | Winds & Percussion | 6th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

Caroline Gong, currently a sophomore in high school, has been playing the flute for
five years. In 2019, she won first place in American Fine Arts Festival Concerto Competition, second place in American Protégé International Woodwinds & Brass Competition, and performed solo at Carnegie Hall. In 2018, Caroline was a finalist in Junior Bach Competition.

Aside from competitions, Caroline has participated in multiple ensemble programs. She has been with California Youth Symphony Senior Orchestra for two years, first as co-principal 2nd flute from 2018 - 2019, then as first flute from 2019 - 2020. She has been selected to perform in California’s All-State Honor Ensembles for four consecutive years (2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020). Additionally, Caroline attended Northern California Flute Camp and master classes during the summers of 2016 and 2017.

Caroline enjoys performing at senior centers, collaborating with her school’s chamber ensemble and jazz band, and teaching children the instrument. She aspires to be an ever-learning flutist and will continue to expand and polish her skills through learning, competition and engaging with others.
