Daniel Gliksberg started playing alto saxophone in 3rd grade when he was 8 years old. He started taking private lessons at Brookline Music School and was one of the youngest students chosen to participate in the School’s 90th Birthday Celebration Music Marathon that year. Daniel started lessons with Kenneth Radnofsky in 9th grade at The New England Conservatory's Prep Division. He was accepted into the prestigious BU Tanglewood Institute Saxophone Workshop in the summer of 2019. He was also invited to become a member of Senior Massachusetts Youth Wind Ensemble (Sr. MYWE), a highly selective touring band. Daniel was a winner of the Massachusetts Senior Eastern District Auditions in 9th and 10th grade. This year he became a winner of the Massachusetts All-State Auditions and was chosen as 1st Chair 1st Alto Saxophone section for the Massachusetts All-State Honor Concert Band. He was chosen to do a soprano saxophone solo during the All-State Concert Band Concert at Boston Symphony Hall in March 2020. In addition, Daniel plays tenor saxophone in a saxophone ensemble at The New England Conservatory's Prep Division.
