Annie Ping is currently a sophomore at Los Altos High School in California. She started to study piano at the age of 5, right now she is studying piano under the tutelage of Erna Gulabyan.
Annie has placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in various US Open Music Competition categories over the years. In 2015, Annie won California Philharmonic Youth Orchestra concerto competition and made her debut with the orchestra in its 2015 Christmas Concert performing Mozart Concerto No. 23 mvt 1. In 2016, Annie won 2nd place in CAPMT(California Association of Professional Music Teachers) District 2 Piano Concerto Competition. In 2017, Annie won 1st place in CAPMT District 2 Honors Competition, 1st place in GCC Masters of Sonata Competition, 2nd place in Thera Rabinowitch Piano Competition. In 2018, Annie won the Marilyn Mindell Piano Competition(Junior Division). In June 2019, Annie performed at Carnegie Hall after winning 1st place in the American Fine Arts Festival.
This year, Annie was chosen by the US Open Music Competition and participated in the Master Class conducted by Professor Sharon Mann from the San Francisco Conservatory.
