Tres Gracias is a group of three girls -- pianist Leah Gavilan, flutist Sooah Jeon, and cellist Evelyn Joung -- who all attend the Juilliard School Pre-College Division. Leah, age 11, is a student at Lewis F. Cole Middle School in Fort Lee, NJ. She has won several competitions from a young age and currently studies with Yoheved Kaplinsky. Both Sooah and Evelyn, age 13, attend Elisabeth Morrow School in Englewood, NJ. Sooah, who has already distinguished herself as one of the most promising young flutists of her generation, studies with a world-renowned flutist, Carol Wincenc. A student of Clara Minhye Kim, Evelyn was selected as the Alternate Winner of the Juilliard Pre-College Concerto Competition in 2019. In addition to winning First Prizes in various competitions individually, Tres Gracias won First Prize at IMM CONCORSO in Italy and Bellagrande International Music Competition as well as First and Young Virtuoso Prizes at NYYVC in 2020.
