Vivian Wang is a freshman at Saratoga High School. She has been playing piano since she was four and currently studies with Sandra Shen. She performed with the Fremont Symphony Orchestra in 2017 and GSYO’s Sinfonietta Orchestra in 2018. Vivian has won numerous prizes in competitions, including Fremont Symphony’s Young Artist Competition, GSYO Concerto Competition, MTAC Solo and Concerto Competition, US Open Music Competition, Junior Bach Festival, KAMSA, USIMC, and the Ghiglieri Competition. Vivian was also a performer in the 2018 PianoTexas PrepFest, as well as a finalist in the 2019 Palo Alto Philharmonic Concerto Competition, the 2020 Henry and Carol Zeiter Piano Competition, and the 2020 Pacific Musical Society Competition. Vivian has studied with Ruth Slenczynska and Dr. Haggai Niv, and has taken masterclasses with renowned pianists including Professor Frederick Wendy, Professor Ann Schein, Igor Resnianski, and Dr. Chih-Long Hu. Besides playing piano, Vivian enjoys swimming, math, and reading.
