Chloe Frisco started learning cello at the age of 8 with Colburn professor Mr. Stan Sharp, She later studied with Ms. In-Kyu Lee and had been coached by world-renowned cellist Mr. Lynn Harrell. Last year, Chloe was awarded First Place at her first solo competition, the 2019 Southwestern Youth Music Festival in California. This year, Chloe was selected as a winner of the American String Teachers Association - Los Angeles Regional Solo Competition and advanced to the California State Final where she was awarded Third Place. She was also awarded First Prize Winner of the Great Composers International Competition for Best Saint-Saëns Performance and The Art of Strings. Most recently, Chloe was selected to perform a solo at the American Protégé Summer Gala Concert 2021in the Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall in New York, and was awarded First Place Winner (Junior Category) of the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music 2020. She will perform at the winners recital at Carnegie Hall next December 2021. Before the pandemic, she served as principal cellist of the Palos Verdes School District Advanced String Ensemble. Chloe is currently a student of professor Clive Greensmith, from the Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles. Besides music, Chloe has a deep interest in art, especially fashion design illustration.
