He participated in a masterclass with Brannon Cho and studied with Professor Daniel McDonough throughout the 2 weeks. In addition, Daniel participates in his school’s chamber orchestra and helps lead fellow cellists as the principal of the section. He likes to share his music with others by performing for elderly people at senior centers. Daniel is also a member of MUSE, a student-founded chamber music group that performs monthly at senior centers and holds benefit concerts every winter to raise money for people in need. During quarantine, he volunteered at the Doremi Project and taught cello to younger cellists. Daniel also volunteers weekly for Back to Bach. Besides music, Daniel enjoys playing sports, eating new food, and hanging out with his friends.
