Caleb Dodson is from Rockwall, TX and is currently a third-year undergraduate studying at the University of Texas at Austin under Dr. Stephen Page and has previously studied with Roy Allen Jr.
Caleb is an avid chamber music performer and was the baritone chair for the Duloc Quartet who placed runner-up in the 2018 Young-Artist Chamber division of the Texas MTNA Competition and competed in the Finals of the Mixed Instrumental Division of the Coltman Chamber Competition in 2019. Caleb was also the baritone chair of the Inan Quartet who won first prize in the Mixed Instrumental Division of the 2020 Coltman Chamber Competition.
In high school, Caleb won first prize at the 2018 Houston Underground Solo Competition, was a member of the 2017-18 GDYO Wind Ensemble, runner-up at the GDYO Concerto Competition, and had the honor of performing in a master class for Clifford Leaman at the 2018 North American Saxophone Alliance conference in Cincinnati, Ohio as the baritone saxophone chair of the Brookhaven College Saxophone Quartet. Caleb has also performed in masterclasses with David Dees, Timothy McAllister, members of the H2 Quartet, Johnny Salinas, and Nathan Bogert.
