Kayla Bak, 15, is a freshman at Newbury Park High School in Newbury Park, California. She studies clarinet with Hongsik Park, a member of the Los Angeles Clarinet Choir. Kayla has a keen interest in serving the local community. Prior to the COVID pandemic, she has participated in monthly chamber activities through a nonprofit community outreach program called Me&We Chamber and helped bring music to the elderly at a skilled nursing facility. In terms of musical accomplishments, she has been selected to participate in California’s All-State festival and Ventura County Honor Band. She is currently 1st clarinet in West Hills Presbyterian Church Youth Orchestra.
