Pianist Allison Yun made her Carnegie Hall debut as a winner of the American Protégé International Music Competition in the Spring of 2018. Since then her countless honors have included top prizes in the Pelican International Music Competition, Southern California International Piano Competition, Southwestern Youth Music Festival, Finland International Piano Competition, the Enkor International Music Competition, the James Ramos International Video competition, the Glory international Music competition, MTAC Scholarship Competition, MTAC Sonata Competition, and in the CAPMT Honors, Contemporary, and Concerto Competitions as both a district and state level winner. She has also earned multiple first and second place awards in the Great Composers series including Artist of the Year for multiple years. As a concerto soloist, she has performed with Beach Cities Symphony Orchestra. Other performance venues include Colburn School's Zipper Hall as a first prize winner at the Lansum International Music Competition and NYU Black Box theater. She has been invited back to Carnegie Hall as a first place winner of the American Protege International Concerto Competition later this calendar year.
Allison began the piano at the age of six and currently studies with Esther Keel. She is in eleventh grade at Chadwick School where she also sings alto in the Jubilee Singers group. Also passionate about classical ballet, she has studied dance since the age of three and is currently part of the Chadwick Dance Company. In addition to the arts, she is very active as a student leader and champions student wellness and diversity on campus.
