William Huang | 3rd Prize | Piano | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


William Huang is a sophomore at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. William began playing piano at the age of 5 and has studied with Lilit Babayan and Dr. Janet Favreau. He currently is under the tutelage of Rufus Choi. His musical achievements include top prizes in competitions such as the CAPMT Concerto Competition, MTAC Piano Concerto Competition, Scholarship Auditions, and the Bach Complete Works Auditions. Most recently, he was selected as a first prize winner of the American Protégé Concerto Competition and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall. He is also a first prize winner of the Great Composers Competition, first and cash prize winner of the Prima Volta Music Competition, and first prize winner of the Rotary Instrumentalist Competition. William loves playing with orchestras, and is a member of the Palos Verdes Regional Symphony Orchestra, where he plays the violin and is the piano accompanist. Besides music, William loves to play tennis and participate in his various extracurricular activities of which he has received national recognition.
