Claire Rong | 3rd Prize | Piano | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Claire Rong, age 12, is attending 7th grade at Daniel Wright Junior High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Claire started to play piano at the age of 4. She is currently taking piano lessons with Mrs. Sueanne Metz. During the past five years with Sueanne, Claire has made rapid progress at piano and has become more and more passionate about classical music.

Claire has won numerous local, national and international piano competitions including first place at the 2018 AFAF International Concerto Competition, overall best performance for 2017 US New Star Piano Competition, first place at 2017 Carmel Klavier International Piano Competition, second place at 2018 Chopin International Piano Competition etc.

Claire has given many public performances in different places around the world. She performed at Musikverein in Vienna Austria, Carnegie Hall in New York, Royal Albert Hall in London, Kostroma Russia with the Kostroma Orchestra and Kurozweki Palace in Poland. Claire is also an active member of her school orchestra.

In addition to music, Claire enjoys drawing, reading and travelling around the world. She has a natural love for animals and enjoys playing with her cats, Sunny and Chilly.
