Tongtong Lei | 2nd Prize | Violin | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Tongtong Lei is a violinist, as a soloist performing her first American debut in Carnegie Hall. She won prizes Best Performances of Composers of Mozart (First prize), Mendelssohn (First Prize), and Bach (Third Prize) in the first quartet of 2021, third prize of 2020 Alexander & Buono International String Competition, the second prize in the 2019 Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition International Classical Music Competition, the first prize in the 2018 Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition, and second prize in the 2017 American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music.

She has been being passionately and actively in the appearances of chamber and orchestral music performances with the renowned artists such as Lang Lang, Siqing Lu, Xincao Li, Joshua Bell, Ludovic Morlot and Garrick Ohlsson as a member of China Youth Philharmonic, China Chamber Music Conference, and NEC Philharmonic. In these performance opportunities, venues are Carnegie Hall, Berlin Konzerthaus Hall, Snape Maltings Concert Hall, Fondazione Teatro Comunale, Shanghai Oriental Art Center and National Centre for the Performing Arts. Her musical festival engagements include the 2019 National Youth Orchestra-China Festival and The 2018 Salzburg International Summer Academy, and The 2017 Bravo! International Music Academy.

Lei started her music journey and received professional education of violin at Central Conservatory of Music in China when she was nine years old. Currently, she is graduated from New England Conservatory of Music learning with Paul Biss in Boston. For master degree of music at Mannes School of Music, she will be studying with Lewis Kaplan in New York."
