Cara Wang | 2nd Prize | Strings | 7th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Cara Wang, currently 11, from Fremont, CA, started playing both the cello and piano at the age of 4.  Cara is passionate about classical music and is currently studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) Pre-College division. She has won numerous awards, including the Grand Prize at the Silicon Valley Music Competition, 1st place at the Spotlight National Youth Music Competition, and recognitions from the United States International Music Competition, International Grande Music Competition, United States Open Music Competition, and the Young Maestro International Competition. She loves collaborating with others and is currently a member of the SFCM Pre-College String Orchestra and the CNC (Piano) Trio. She has also played with the Fremont Youth Symphony Orchestra (FYSO) and other chamber ensembles.  She is grateful to be studying with her cello teachers, Mr. Amos Yang and Mr. Alan Yang and piano teacher, Ms. Lina Choa. In addition to music, Cara enjoys ballet and writing.
