Claire Doh | 2nd Prize | Strings | 7th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Claire Doh started her cello studies at age 7, with piano experience of five years since age 5. Since then, she has distinguished herself in numerous competitions, receiving 3rd place in the International Grande Music Competition (IGMC), an honorable mention in 2020 Washington State MTNA competition, a seal of recognition in the Seattle Young Artist Music Festival, and multiple awards in the Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside. Furthermore, Claire was accepted into the 2022 WMEA All-State Chamber Orchestra, the 2021 NAfME All-Northwest Honor Group, and the 2020 & 2019 Jr. All-State Orchestra. Presently, Claire is a sophomore at Newport High School, and part of the school’s chamber orchestra. Claire currently studies cello with Julie Cho, and is in her 5th year with the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra (BYSO), where she plays at the Youth Symphony level. Claire is also the secretary of Newport’s Music 4 Everyone club, where she performs music for seniors. Lastly, Claire is an active member of Newport’s Tri-M Honor Society club.
